Luxor


Luxor is the starting point for most trips down the Nile. Most visitors take the hour flight from Cairo to Luxor and board their river boats. At Luxor you find both Temples on the East Bank of the Nile and the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of the Nle. This is symbolic because the sun sets in the west and where the Egytpians placed there dead.
